This is a 12-month, 100% online, self-paced program designed for professionals seeking a flexible learning experience. This track is ideal for individuals with a Bachelors degree or higher who want to provide short-term, client-centered sexuality counseling focused on resolving immediate concerns through education, communication strategies, and practical techniques but do not have a psychotherapy license


Participants receive free 1-on-1 business and intimacy coaching throughout their program and for one year post-completion. They also engage in networking and team-building activities with fellow sexologists at various stages of their careers.Upon completion, graduates are eligible for Board Certified Sexologist or/and Board Certified Diplomate certification through the American Board of Sexology, with potential opportunities for additional credentials.


AASECT defines a Sex Counselor as: a sexologist from range from a variety of non-psychotherapist professions such as medicine to the clergy. Examples of sexuality counselors are physicians, Planned Parenthood counselors, nurses and other health professionals, school counselors, and clinical pastoral care and counseling providers. Counselors assist the client to realistically resolve concerns through the introduction of problem solving techniques of communication as well as providing accurate information and relevant suggestions of specific exercises and techniques in sexual expression. Sexuality counseling is generally short-term and client-centered, focusing on the immediate concern or problem.

  • Education Requirement: Bachelors Degree or Higher in a Human Services Profession (including spiritual and religious life/chaplaincy) without Psychotherapy Credentialing. 
  • Experience Requirement: Non Needed (Experience will be Gained from Supervision)


Board Certification from American Board of Sexology Upon Completion (additional certifications possible with this track)
